This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee the creation of environmental assessment reports (such as Environmental Report and Environmental Impact Statement) in support of nuclear initiatives.
• Lead, manage, and administer all personnel and projects handled by those reporting directly to this role.
• Execute and oversee projects within defined scope, schedule, and budget while learning and utilizing AECOM’s project management systems and software.
• The selected candidate will complete AECOM’s internal Project Management certification program within the initial two years of employment.
• Coordinate, manage, and direct project fieldwork and data collection activities.
• Formulate, manage, and deliver business strategies and tactics, high-quality proposals, interdisciplinary teams, and report deliverables.
• Act as a liaison with clients and regulatory personnel on complex projects and during business development efforts.
• Actively promote a culture of high-quality work and emphasize the significance of Health & Safety within the team.
• Provide technical assistance to the EPP Department and individual Project Managers while supporting interdisciplinary business development initiatives.
• Collaborate with other AECOM offices, practices, and business divisions.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff members.
• Conduct client visits and fieldwork that necessitate working outside the office and overnight travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, or a related earth science discipline.
• 10 years of experience or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or education in preparing environmental assessment reports in alignment with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience required.
• 5 years of experience in a nuclear utility, nuclear fuel cycle facility, or as a contractor within the nuclear industry supporting licensing activities.
• Valid Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review as a condition of employment.
