• Develop high-quality 3D environment assets, encompassing modular architectural kits and props for set dressing.
• Take full responsibility for levels from initial block out to final polish, which includes lighting, composition, and set dressing.
• Ensure all assets adhere to performance and technical budgets (draw calls, memory, LODs) while preserving visual quality.
• Collaborate intimately with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Level Designers to ensure alignment on visual, gameplay, and narrative objectives.
• Operate within established pipelines and contribute to enhancing workflows and asset creation processes.
• Uphold a high standard of quality, consistency, and meticulous attention to detail throughout environments.
• 3–6+ years of experience as an Environment Artist (or equivalent experience evidenced through a portfolio).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality environment art, including modular workflows and level composition.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Unreal Engine, Maya/Max/Blender, Substance Painter/Designer).
• Experience in creating game-ready assets with a solid understanding of optimization (LODs, texel density, performance budgets).
• Deep understanding of lighting, composition, and environmental storytelling.
• Ability to take charge of projects from concept/blockout through to final implementation in-engine.
• Experience working collaboratively within a cross-functional game development team.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for crafting immersive game worlds.
