This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for designing, planning, and executing integration solutions using the IBM MFT Suite (Sterling File Gateway, Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling Secure+, Sterling Control Center).
• Reviews file transmission requests assigned and configures standard solutions for file transmission.
• Collaborates with business units to determine the most suitable transfer methods to fulfill business needs.
• Ensures secure data exchanges, adhering to corporate and industry standards to reduce the risks of unauthorized access, theft, or data manipulation.
• Confirms the successful completion of automated file transfers.
• Develops and maintains documentation related to file transfers.
• Diagnoses and resolves issues with existing automation and procedures.
• Works alongside business lines to troubleshoot and resolve problems with failed file movements.
• Offers support for data movement solutions, encompassing extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, as well as data validation and querying.
• Assists and advises leadership on file movement strategies, while formulating effective plans to help the department achieve its overarching goals.
• Provides counsel on analytic capabilities and enterprise integrated data assets to business partners, fostering the maturation of the Enterprise Data Movement vision and strategy.
• Guides technical direction and the application of relevant technologies for file movements after conducting necessary evaluations; collaborates with the development architecture team and vendors to recommend file movement processes.
• Delivers tier 3 support for managed file transfer systems and processes.
• Evaluates existing automation frameworks to enhance analytic capabilities and enterprise integrated data assets, aiding business partners in evolving the enterprise data movement vision and strategy.
• Consults and collaborates with internal business lines to assess and comprehend file transfer requests.
• Engages with both technical and non-technical customers, as well as various management levels, during the design, testing, and implementation of file transfer workflows.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of systems development, testing, and/or business experience, or related work experience with data transfer tools, particularly IBM Sterling File Transfer products.
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience with BPML and shell/Python/Powershell scripting.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience with other MFT platforms, such as Go Anywhere or Globalscape.
• Proficient in creating services, adapters, and configuring property files to implement effective file transfer solutions.
• Knowledgeable in file transfer protocols including SSH/SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, and Connect Direct.
• Experience in establishing SLAs and availability targets to align with business needs and budget limitations.
• Involved in the installation and maintenance of clustered environments for high availability.
• Expertise in Windows platforms and the ability to write command scripts.
• Skilled in generating out-of-the-box and custom reports using IBM Control Center and Sterling File Gateway/Sterling Integrator.
