This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Transform business requirements into technical system solutions and architectural frameworks.
• Report directly to the Director of Enterprise Architecture.
• Integrate various hardware, software, and network interfaces into cohesive systems.
• Suggest products that enhance the company's technical infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT stakeholders across various domains to comprehend business and IT strategies and create architectural roadmaps.
• Implement Data, Application, Physical, and Technology architecture standards.
• Identify and promote new architectural use cases through governance and enterprise adoption.
• Develop and disseminate architecture strategies along with logical and physical architecture diagrams.
• Engage in IT governance activities related to engineering practices and compliance.
• Create and enforce technology standards.
• Define, maintain, and implement technology and integration frameworks, design patterns, and services.
• Provide technical leadership in architecture processes and methodologies.
• Contribute to Application Architecture roadmaps and engineering standards that align with Technology and Data Architecture.
• Effectively communicate and advocate for architectural direction to delivery teams, architects, and leadership.
• Establish benchmarks for scalability, availability, maintainability, security, and other non-functional requirements.
• Cultivate a positive work atmosphere through demonstrations, feedback, mentoring, coaching, and education.
• Motivate architects and engineers to develop innovative work products and support new business capabilities.
• Work closely with product management, business strategy, and segment leadership on future technology architecture.
• Define, oversee, and communicate enterprise technology principles, policies, and standards.
• Assist in technology governance and decision-making processes.
• Foster innovation across cloud, digital, data science, AI/ML, microservices, events, and APIs.
• Address technology debt and enhance efficiency from an enterprise-wide perspective.
• Extensive experience as a senior architect or technical lead in large-scale IT projects involving multiple enterprise systems.
• At least 5 years of experience in software design, development, and testing, as well as cloud, infrastructure, or observability.
• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps for downloads and 10 Mbps for uploads.
• Recommended connection types include wireless, wired cable, or DSL.
• A dedicated workspace free of ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
• Capability to work efficiently in a remote setting.
• Willingness to occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.
