
Senior Engineer – Protection & Control

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Collaborate with Substation Physical Engineering, Relay Settings, and other teams to ensure design alignment.
• Create comprehensive engineering design packages for protective relaying and communication systems.
• Prepare SCADA packages, including input/output lists (Point Data Sheets).
• Offer technical guidance and on-the-job mentoring to drafters, engineering technicians, and junior engineers.
• Develop, foster, and sustain trusted relationships with senior engineers, managers, executives, and both current and potential clients.
• Deliver technical solutions to key clients and address technical inquiries and concerns.
• Lead and/or engage in client meetings and site visits to gather or provide design and engineering data.
• Ensure that QA/QC processes are adhered to in all design packages.
• Assign, plan, prioritize, and review the tasks of other engineers.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.
• An MS degree in engineering may be accepted in place of the BS Engineering degree.
• International engineering degrees will also be taken into account.
• A minimum of seven years of electrical engineering experience is preferred; experience in protection and control engineering is required.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) registration or a plan to obtain registration is necessary.
• Professional Engineering registration in the state of employment is an advantage.
• A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
• Strong analytical abilities and computer proficiency are essential.
