Senior Engineer – Platform Data Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage the foundational data infrastructure and platform services that support CrowdStrike's analytics ecosystem.

• Set up, configure, and oversee Airflow and Superset in production settings.

• Handle infrastructure-as-code for data platform elements utilizing Terraform.

• Develop and sustain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflow implementations.

• Establish and uphold platform security, access controls, and compliance protocols.

• Create and maintain data models using DBT and catalog resources within OpenMetadata.

• Produce efficient Python code for automating platform processes and data handling.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and offer technical guidance.

• Be responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of the data platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must qualify for CJIS clearance (requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status).

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of combined experience in infrastructure and data engineering.

• More than 5 years of advanced Python programming experience.

• Expert knowledge in deploying and managing Apache Airflow.

• Significant experience with Apache Superset or comparable BI platforms.

• Cloud platform expertise in AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI, including IAM, networking, and managed services.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code.

• Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and/or Docker in production.

• Familiarity with DBT and OpenMetadata.

• Expertise in SQL and data modeling.

• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.

• Demonstrated experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, optimize workflows and processes, increase efficiency, and achieve business objectives.

• Must periodically pass additional background and fingerprint checks in accordance with government customer requirements.
