Senior Engineer, n8n Labs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Continuously investigate emerging trends in AI interfaces, orchestration, agents, autonomy, and AI-driven work through practical experimentation and ecosystem research.

• Maintain strong connections within the AI ecosystem through founder networks, user discussions, Product Hunt, Reddit, GitHub, X, events, and novel tooling.

• Discover unmet needs and prospective product opportunities that could influence n8n’s long-term strategy.

• Quickly prototype, validate, and launch AI-native product concepts with minimal assistance.

• Collaborate across product, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams with a resourceful, execution-oriented mindset.

• Engage with tools, contractors, collaborators, or external resources when necessary to accelerate progress and eliminate obstacles.

• Employ structured thinking, experimentation, user feedback, and market signals to assess what n8n should prioritize over the next 1–3 years.

• Work closely with n8n’s founder and Product leadership to develop ideas, critically evaluate assumptions, and inform strategic product decisions.

• Communicate insights and findings with the broader organization to ensure n8n remains at the forefront of the AI landscape.

• 🚀 Experience in 0→1 product development: You have launched products from the ground up, preferably in the AI sector, and excel at transforming ideas into validated concepts swiftly.

• 🤖 AI-native mindset: You possess a keen understanding of how AI is transforming software, workflows, interfaces, and user behaviors, translating emerging trends into tangible product opportunities.

• 🛠️ Practical execution skills: You are adept at building, prototyping, experimenting, and operating with minimal structure or assistance.

• 🧠 Product intuition and problem-solving abilities: You merge strong product instincts with systematic thinking to quickly assess the viability of ideas.

• 🔮 Visionary outlook: You are recognized for identifying subtle opportunities and anticipating market trends.
