This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Advocate for innovative technologies and strategies to ensure Cardinal remains a cutting-edge workplace.
• Exhibits advanced expertise in automation and scripting techniques relevant to the technology specialization.
• Designs, implements, manages, and maintains the technological infrastructure that includes endpoint and application management.
• Handles service requests and resolves technical issues pertaining to the service area (troubleshooting).
• Organizes and directs the resolution of technical challenges within the area of technological focus.
• Possesses knowledge of business processes, systems engineering, operations research, and engineering principles.
• Demonstrates familiarity with technology concentration applied in a large-scale enterprise setting.
• Evaluates system performance efficiencies and capacity, suggesting strategies to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
• Contributes to the development of a comprehensive knowledge base, creating and updating content while encouraging the use of self-service options for employees.
• Prioritizes and oversees multiple ongoing issues simultaneously, addressing both urgent technical matters and long-term project objectives.
• Establishes and leads the long-term strategic direction for operating system deployment and endpoint delivery frameworks.
• Provides third-level escalation support to technical support teams.
• Integrates various language packs for the operating system and associated applications.
• Collaborates directly with Tier 2 and Tier 1 support teams to address OSD and servicing challenges.
• Works closely with Tier 2 management to align business strategies and goals regarding imaging solutions.
• Oversees driver updates for new builds and manages post-build driver integration through packaging and deployments.
• Partners with project resources to ensure sufficient availability of resources to meet customer expectations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
• Preferred 8+ years of experience in a related field.
• Relevant technical certifications are preferred.
• Experience with ConfigMgr OSD: Operating System Deployments, Windows 11 Servicing, USMT, and managing Windows 11 images via Task Sequences is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoPilot: Developing Entra and Hybrid AD join AutoPilot provisioning packages, focusing on user readiness, bandwidth management, and effective scripting is preferred.
• Extensive scripting proficiency is preferred, particularly in PowerShell and related coding languages, with emphasis on client-side scripting (not user-facing/front ends).
• Experience with Windows 11 Servicing through Operating System Upgrade Packages is preferred.
• Knowledge of OEM Driver Management and Integration using both community and custom solutions is preferred.
• Experience configuring network services such as WDS and PXE is preferred.
• Experience in managing bandwidth issues and large-scale deployments in an enterprise environment is preferred.
• Willingness to travel to domestic and international locations is preferred (typically less than 5% travel).
• Ability to work in a 24x7 environment, including nights and weekends, with on-call and after-hours responsibilities is required.
