Senior Engineer, Finance Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for the development of internal tool solutions.

• Create experiences across the technology stack, primarily utilizing Python, and occasionally Kotlin.

• Produce well-tested, high-quality code, focusing on generics and reusability.

• Collaborate closely with design and product teams to consistently deliver functional features.

• Engage in release planning and oversee the deployment of released builds.

• Mentor and provide guidance to team members.

• Assess and deliver timeline estimates for projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in building API applications, preferably with Python or Kotlin.

• Proficient in working with AWS cloud and utilizing services such as ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.

• Proven experience in owning user-facing features from conception through to launch.

• Skilled in developing software within a collaborative, multi-functional, and fast-paced environment.

• Experience working on systems that must meet real-world performance and reliability standards.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and set clear expectations with stakeholders while being a driving force.

• Experience in developing event-driven systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
