Senior Engineer – Data Streaming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive data streaming and CDC pipelines utilizing Kafka and Striim.

• Implement real-time data integration from source systems through streaming platforms to analytical and operational endpoints.

• Collaborate with architects, lead engineers, and business stakeholders to convert requirements into technical implementations.

• Apply best practices for Kafka topic design, partitioning, schema management, and Striim pipeline configuration within the team.

• Construct reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant streaming solutions with a focus on data consistency and replayability.

• Conduct code and configuration reviews while contributing to standards for testing, documentation, and deployment.

• Diagnose and resolve intricate production issues related to streaming pipelines, including latency and data integrity.

• Engage in proof-of-concepts and assess new streaming or data integration technologies.

• Continuously enhance observability, monitoring, and alerting for streaming pipelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software or data engineering.

• Strong practical experience with Kafka and Striim.

• Proficient with Oracle, PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift, Apache, Pyspark, AWS, Glue, Python, Java, and Snowflake.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and CDC patterns.

• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical abilities.

• Strong communication skills and capability to collaborate across technical teams.
