Senior Engineer – Backend Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to oversee backend architecture and execution.

• Develop FastAPI service layer controllers and create endpoint wrappers that are compatible with legacy systems.

• Transition service groups from the legacy framework to FastAPI.

• Manage cloud infrastructure on PressW's behalf.

• Promote code quality, review standards, and testing discipline throughout the backend.

• Provide mentorship to mid-level engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Python is essential.

• Experience with production cloud infrastructure, particularly in Kubernetes.

• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL is required.

• Must have delivered significant code within the past 2 years.
