Senior Engineer, Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with fellow engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to design, construct, and maintain robust platform solutions.

• Architect, deploy, and oversee Kubernetes clusters on AWS and/or Azure.

• Create and implement CI/CD pipelines that ensure rapid delivery of high-quality code.

• Develop automated infrastructure using Terraform and various Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Lead initiatives for cloud migration and modernization, including transitioning legacy workloads (Java, .NET, ETL, databases) to contemporary cloud-native services.

• Automate the scaling, deployment, and management of containerized applications.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance to guarantee reliability, cost efficiency, and resilience.

• Establish proactive monitoring solutions to identify and prevent outages.

• Convert complex client requirements into scalable, automated solutions.

• Contribute to team knowledge-sharing, peer reviews, runbooks, and process enhancement activities.

• Provide support and maintain secure, compliant, and resilient infrastructure for critical systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience with Azure.

• 3 or more years of experience with Terraform and other IaC tools.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience building and managing Kubernetes in a production environment.

• Practical experience in migrating or modernizing legacy workloads (Java, .NET, or similar) to the cloud.

• Familiarity with database and data platform tasks across SQL and NoSQL technologies.

• Proven experience in designing and building scalable, distributed systems.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).

• Experience in consulting or client-facing delivery roles.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong multi-tasking ability, self-starter, and proactive team player.

• Possession of cloud certifications.

• Experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).

• Professional level certifications in AWS and Azure.

• Experience with ETL or data pipeline tools (DataStage, ADF, Glue, Airflow, or similar).

• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS).

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
