Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, provision, and manage secure, scalable Azure infrastructure utilizing Terraform and best practices in Infrastructure as Code.

• Construct and refine reusable Terraform modules alongside infrastructure automation pipelines.

• Deploy, manage, monitor, and resolve issues within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters.

• Oversee Azure networking, identity, security, and governance elements.

• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines through GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.

• Automate cloud operations using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security with Azure observability tools.

• Diagnose intricate issues related to infrastructure, networking, Kubernetes, and deployments while driving enhancements for the platform.

• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to enhance cloud reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence.

• Engage in architecture discussions and offer technical leadership for initiatives on the Azure platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 8 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.

• Advanced expertise in Terraform, encompassing reusable modules, workspaces, remote state management, authentication, and best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Significant hands-on experience administering Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) in production settings.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including VNets, Private Endpoints, Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Managed Identities, Azure RBAC, Key Vault, and Storage Accounts.

• Experience in executing secure networking solutions, hybrid connectivity, and governance within Azure.

• Strong proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.

• Expertise in Linux administration and scripting using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.

• Background in implementing cloud security, identity management, monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.

• Excellent troubleshooting, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305) and/or HashiCorp Terraform Associate certification are highly preferred.
