Senior Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Begin your day with a brief standup meeting.

• Engage in focused work time to design, develop, and optimize extensive data products related to search systems.

• Few meetings — maximum accountability.

• Collaborate with data core, data insights, and other product teams to deliver meaningful features.

• Consistently enhance search accuracy, speed, and scalability.

• Develop a creator search engine that indexes **over 400M influencer profiles** and billions of media files.

• Generate embeddings from images, videos, text, and audio at **an enormous scale**.

• Establish systems for advanced filtering, ranking, and relevance scoring.

• Implement the most recent ML models for semantic and vector search into production within weeks.

• Design indexing and querying pipelines to handle millions of requests with minimal latency.

• Experiment with how LLMs, multimodal embeddings, and vector databases can improve search and recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data or Backend Engineer working with large-scale data products.

• You have developed complete products from concept to production: scoping → architecture → implementation → release → iteration.

• Strong system design abilities and experience in large-scale, high-volume environments.

• Practical experience in building agentic or LLM-powered features in a production setting.

• Solid understanding of the trade-offs associated with LLMs (cost, latency, capability).

• Familiarity with AWS (SageMaker, Glue, Kinesis, SQS, Lambda, ECS).

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.

• Ability to autonomously gather requirements for complex projects.

• Experience in fast-paced startup environments.

• Located in Europe with some overlap with GMT+3.**
