Senior Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Offer engineering expertise for capital projects, enhancements in processes, efficiency improvements, and initiatives aimed at reducing spoilage within Back End operations.

• Assist manufacturing facilities with technical problem-solving, optimization of equipment, and adherence to best operating practices.

• Propel standardization of processes and maintenance for Decorators, Inside Sprays, Neckers, and Palletisers across regional locations.

• Keep manufacturing sites updated on process technologies, maintenance benchmarks, and industry best practices.

• Aid plants in meeting operational, production, quality, and cost performance objectives.

• Draft technical reports following site visits, audits, investigations, and support initiatives.

• Partner with equipment suppliers and OEM collaborators on equipment performance, maintenance strategies, and process enhancements.

• Provide technical training and guidance to engineering and production staff at the plants.

• Determine root causes of maintenance cost overruns and institute corrective measures.

• Oversee and support small-scale engineering and plant enhancement projects.

• Collaborate with Global Engineering teams to establish, evaluate, and apply maintenance standards and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Vocational or technical education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Comprehensive understanding of mechanical processes pertaining to the back end of a two-piece beverage can manufacturing facility.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with international and cross-functional teams.

• Experience in leading technical projects and coordinating engineering efforts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in English.

• Knowledge of additional European languages would be advantageous.

• Self-motivated and self-managing with a strong emphasis on achieving results.
