This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and manage internal AI-driven platforms and tools for developers, which encompass code review, test generation, migration automation, and CI/CD copilots.
• Establish evaluation frameworks, orchestration, and governance guardrails to ensure the safe integration of AI into developers' workflows.
• Propel the AI-driven refactoring of monolithic platform components and expedite modernization efforts.
• Generate automated unit tests, enhance test coverage, and remove manual QA obstacles.
• Define AI scorecards, adoption KPIs, and metrics related to time-to-market, engineering efficiency, and code quality.
• Assess and incorporate top-tier AI technologies for code generation and test automation.
• Build and expand repeatable AI-assisted development workflows, standards, and reusable patterns across research and development.
• Act as a technical authority and thought leader within the engineering division.
• Lead large-scale modernization projects alongside senior engineers.
• Remain updated on emerging trends in AI and developer productivity.
• Convey technical vision and strategic choices to senior stakeholders and engineering leadership.
• Manage multi-week deployments of AI-enabled developer tools through their delivery and integration.
• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years in leading large-scale internal tooling, platform engineering, or modernization initiatives.
• Proven track record in designing and delivering AI-enhanced developer tools with measurable effects on team velocity and quality, beyond mere experimentation.
• Profound knowledge of contemporary software development practices, languages, and environments, including Java, TypeScript, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience in addressing intricate, undefined challenges within enterprise-scale engineering organizations.
• Strong skills in architecture and system design.
• Capability to make build-vs-buy decisions and scale tools across various organizations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate across disciplines, and lead in a senior or principal engineering role.
• Outstanding cross-functional communication skills.
• Experience in evaluating AI tools and models for aspects such as quality, cost, latency, security, and workflow compatibility.
• Familiarity with platforms like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, AWS Q, or other generative AI technologies.
• Background in applying AI or automation to areas such as code review, test generation, migration acceleration, developer assistance, or release automation, with quantifiable enhancements.
