Senior Engagement Manager

Posted 5 days ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the relationship. Cultivate and maintain high-touch connections with leaders, implementing partners, and key stakeholders relevant to your track — whether that involves local organizations in priority cities or points-of-contact within national organizational networks.

• Propel activation strategy. Design and implement activation strategies customized to the unique conditions of each market or network rather than utilizing a one-size-fits-all model.

• Develop the leader pipeline. Identify and recruit leaders into the BTP community, collaborating with partners to expedite onboarding and integration.

• Create reciprocal models. Establish partnership frameworks and engagement methodologies where partners and leaders feel a genuine connection to BTP's mission — rather than being merely utilized for content or stories.

• Execute activation touchpoints. Organize convenings, partner events, and leader onboarding sessions in close collaboration with your Community Manager.

• Generate insights. Assess what drives engagement and what doesn't — and systematically relay that feedback back into the operating model.

• Foster self-sustaining activation. Build relationships and systems that cultivate self-sustaining activation pipelines over time.

• Monitor key metrics. Track progress toward activation goals and identify clear indicators of what conditions facilitate self-sustaining growth.

• Collaborate with Partner Engine. Coordinate with the Partner Lead, relationship managers, and relevant colleagues to ensure activation aligns with broader partner and donor engagement initiatives.

• Connect across tracks. Collaborate with the other Senior Engagement Manager to pinpoint where regional and organizational activation converge and support one another.

• Facilitate platform adoption. Work alongside the Platform team to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for leaders and that the platform actively supports on-ground activation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience managing high-stakes, multi-stakeholder partnerships in civic, nonprofit, philanthropic, or corporate community settings — where the relationships are the core of the work, not just a means to achieve it.

• A demonstrated record as a partner manager capable of simultaneously managing complex relationships across organizations, community leaders, and institutional stakeholders.

• Comfort in working across multiple markets or partners concurrently, with the ability to prioritize effectively and adapt to the specific needs of each context.

• Strong listening and facilitation abilities — the capacity to quickly gain trust from diverse stakeholders and inspire them to be part of a larger mission.

• Experience in a role where you needed to create the playbook on the go — and successfully did so.

• Willingness and capability to travel. For the regional track — Frequent travel with significant in-market presence across priority cities is essential. For the organizational track — Regular travel to partner headquarters, affiliate gatherings, and network events.

• Passion to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to problem-solving, along with a commitment to nurturing our culture, which values transformation and innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, humility, and respect.
