Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Test OS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Analyze the architecture, services, and deployment flow of the Test OS implemented in Gen2 vehicles.

• Port the Test OS to Gen1 RVT ECUs, ensuring compatibility with existing hardware.

• Develop platform abstraction layers to facilitate communication, control, and monitoring of ECUs.

• Implement modules for diagnostics integration, firmware flashing, and data acquisition.

• Integrate ECU diagnostics using UDS and DoIP protocols.

• Implement secure firmware flashing routines.

• Configure logging and health monitoring to record and analyze real-time data.

• Design SIL tests in simulated environments.

• Create HIL tests with actual hardware.

• Conduct vehicle-level testing under real conditions.

• Troubleshoot issues across software, hardware, and communication layers.

• Collaborate with ECU, electrical, systems, validation, and hardware teams.

• Document processes, changes, and outcomes of tests and adaptations.

• Ensure compliance with ASPICE and MISRA C standards.

• Validate adherence to client safety and quality requirements.

• Embedded Linux (advanced, 5+ years of experience).

• RTOS (advanced, 5+ years of experience).

• CAN, CAN FD, UDS (advanced, 5+ years of experience).

• DoIP and Automotive Ethernet (intermediate, 2-5 years of experience).

• Vector CANoe/CANalyzer/CANape (advanced, 5+ years of experience).

• GDB and JTAG (intermediate/advanced, 3-5+ years of experience).

• GoogleTest and pytest (intermediate/advanced, 3-5+ years of experience).

• SIL and HIL (advanced, 5+ years of experience).

• Git (advanced, 5+ years of experience).

• Jenkins and GitLab CI (intermediate/advanced, 3-5+ years of experience).

• Firmware integration, flashing, and diagnostics for ECUs (DIDs, DTCs) (advanced, 5+ years of experience).

• ASPICE and MISRA C (advanced, 5+ years of experience).

• Valid visa required for travel to the USA for client team activities.
