Senior Electrical Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Generate precise and comprehensive electrical cost estimates and quotations for commercial and industrial projects.

• Examine drawings, specifications, and other project documents to establish project scope and costing needs.

• Conduct quantity take-offs and compute costs for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.

• Ensure all estimates adhere to relevant Australian Standards and project specifications.

• Evaluate project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and pricing strategies to create competitive quotations.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements and address estimation-related issues.

• Acquire and assess supplier and subcontractor quotes to support accurate pricing.

• Keep well-organized records of estimates, pricing data, and supporting documentation for future reference.

• Continuously track market pricing, material costs, and industry trends to enhance estimating precision.

• Leverage estimating software and digital tools to optimize quotation preparation and maintain efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering field is preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical estimating, cost estimation, or a similar role, specifically in preparing quotations for commercial and industrial projects.

• In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards related to electrical installations and construction.

• Proven experience estimating projects valued between approximately AUD 200,000 and AUD 10 million.

• Capability to accurately interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.

• Familiarity with estimating software such as GroundPlan and Simpro is a plus but not mandatory.

• Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Drive.

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and stakeholders.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to handle multiple estimates and meet deadlines.

• Capability to work independently while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality deliverables.
