Senior Electrical Engineer – Oil & Gas

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Execute comprehensive design tasks for all facets of electrical power systems.

• Create computer-based models and conduct power system analyses.

• Establish protective relay configurations.

• Generate a variety of documents and reports related to projects.

• Aid in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and other commissioning processes.

• Offer occasional field support and troubleshooting assistance.

• Review the work of designers, drafters, and field service staff.

• Assist in client communications and interactions.

• Contribute to business development through Seller-Doer initiatives.

• Prepare technical documentation for relevant change orders.

• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety protocols and standards.

• Maintain a professional understanding of all pertinent Codes and Standards.

• Provide field assistance, troubleshooting, and observation documentation.

• Undertake other assigned responsibilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, with a focus on electric power preferred.

• Over 7 years of relevant engineering or field experience.

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) license is required; Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.

• Understanding and knowledge of medium and low voltage distribution systems.

• Basic comprehension of Protection & Control Schemes.

• Familiarity with substation electrical design.

• Proficient in power system studies software such as PSSE, PSCAD, ETAP, and SKM.

• Previous experience in coordinating and managing projects with key clients, customers, contractors, and others.

• Experience with the Oil & Gas market sector.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

• Self-motivated with a strong initiative.

• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
