Senior Electrical Engineer – Buildings

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and execute electrical design for municipal infrastructure and facility projects, functioning both independently and as a technical leader within project teams.

• Create engineering deliverables such as design calculations, construction drawings, cost estimates, and bills of materials.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated and constructible design packages.

• Engage in client meetings and technical discussions to comprehend project requirements, tackle challenges, and provide effective engineering solutions.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers, aiding in their professional growth.

• Inspect and verify design drawings for technical accuracy, compliance with codes, and alignment with client standards.

• Assist in project execution by ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, and budget throughout the design phase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in electrical engineering design, drafting, or similar technical roles.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.

• Strong expertise in Revit for electrical modeling and design development.

• Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation.

• Solid understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.

• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including:

• NFPA 72, 101, and 110

• International Building Code (IBC)

• Energy codes and lighting standards.

• Experience with lighting design tools such as DIALux or AGi32.

• Keen attention to detail with outstanding documentation and organizational abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to work effectively across teams and with clients.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.
