Electronics Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Designing and creating electronic hardware for intricate space systems

• Capturing and overseeing hardware requirements and specifications

• Generating schematics, design documentation, and technical reports

• Assisting with PCB design, component selection, and circuit analysis tasks

• Performing hardware testing, debugging, and validating performance

• Aiding in system integration and verification efforts

• Participating in technical reviews and engineering trade-off analyses

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful hardware delivery

• Supporting qualification and environmental testing initiatives

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in the Space industry (essential)

• Experience in designing and developing electronic hardware for space, satellites, spacecraft, or similar applications

• In-depth knowledge of analogue and digital electronics

• Familiarity with schematic capture and electronic design software

• Understanding of embedded hardware and electronic system architectures

• Experience in hardware verification, validation, and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of electronic testing methodologies and laboratory equipment

• Capability to create high-quality technical documentation

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience

• Understanding of ECSS standards and processes for developing space-qualified hardware

• Knowledge of FPGA, microcontroller, or embedded system development

• Awareness of EMC/EMI principles and environmental qualification testing

• Experience with power electronics and power distribution systems

• Familiarity with communication protocols and data handling architectures

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
