This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate individually with students to generate, structure, refine, and condense deeply introspective and engaging personal narratives.

• Review student drafts for grammatical accuracy, clarity, structure, flow, writing style, word count, and overall narrative coherence.

• Offer comprehensive written feedback that enhances intellectual depth while ensuring authenticity and compliance with admissions standards.

• Facilitate multiple rounds of revisions to guarantee that each submission adheres to our high-quality expectations.

• Prepare, edit, and proofread marketing and promotional materials as required.

• Conduct research on topics to support the accuracy and context of student content.

• Play a vital role in advertising, public relations, and community outreach initiatives aimed at attracting clients and recruiting employees.

• Assist the Office of the CEO with significant projects and initiatives by developing, coordinating, and managing project activities and timelines.

• Design and implement project protocols, templates, and procedures.

• Help in the collection, analysis, and presentation of data using charts, tables, and various formats.

• Collaborate with educational institutions in professional development activities and participatory action research.

• Write and edit reports, briefs, and other materials, or engage in operations-oriented tasks to support the College Division.

• Efficiently and independently manage administrative tasks related to assignments.

• Communicate logistical requirements and updates with consultants and editors.

• Organize the distribution of completed assignments to clients and draft email updates/reminders for assigned students.

• Schedule review meetings with Consultants and Senior Editors, and take/distribute structured meeting notes.


⛳️ Requirements

• MFA in Creative Writing, ideally from the University of Iowa.

• 2–5 years of professional writing or editing experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Outstanding English verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of grammar and narrative structure.

• Excellent analytical writing skills and the capability to edit and write proficiently without dependence on AI tools.

• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficient in Google Workspace and collaboration tools.

• A minimum of three writing samples required upon application, with one creative piece and one research-based piece strongly encouraged.
