This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Accountable for facilitating the delivery of consultancy services related to protected species and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) to clients.
• Perform surveys, assessments, and offer expert advice.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues throughout the organization to maintain high standards of service delivery, compliance, and continuous enhancement.
• Excel in a fast-paced, technical setting and take initiative in problem-solving.
• Several years of experience independently conducting a wide range of assessments for protected species and habitats.
• In-depth understanding of planning policies, best practices, and legislative drivers relevant to ecological consultancy.
• Skilled in performing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Preliminary Roost Assessments, and Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments.
• Competent in utilizing QGIS.
• Proven experience in project management and client communications.
• Holder of a Class 2 bat license or other protected species certifications.
• Capable of drafting and submitting EPSL/BMCL applications as the designated ecologist.
• Relevant experience in a similar capacity within [sector/industry].
