Senior Drupal Developer – CraftCMS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and enhance websites and applications based on Drupal.

• Create and manage custom Drupal modules, themes, templates, and integrations.

• Assist with Drupal upgrades, which include security patches, dependency updates, and major version migrations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across existing client platforms.

• Work with inherited and legacy codebases, making practical decisions regarding maintainability, risk, and technical debt.

• When necessary, support CraftCMS platforms and become familiar with CraftCMS conventions, project structures, and deployment workflows.

• Contribute to enhancements around performance, accessibility, security, editorial usability, and maintainability.

• Deliver high-quality PHP development utilizing modern, object-oriented practices.

• Work adeptly with Composer, dependency management, Git, and contemporary development workflows.

• Participate in technical planning, estimation, implementation, testing, and deployment processes.

• Collaborate with technical leads to establish suitable technical approaches.

• Engage in peer reviews and offer constructive feedback to fellow developers.

• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and well-documented code.

• Produce clear technical documentation for internal teams and client stakeholders.

• Assist with support handovers, implementation notes, release notes, and technical decision records.

• Adhere to SDLC practices throughout discovery, planning, development, QA, release, and post-release support.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional development experience, preferably with enterprise or complex CMS projects.

• Strong PHP development capabilities, including object-oriented programming and modern PHP methodologies.

• 3–5 years of experience with Drupal, ideally versions 8, 9, 10, or 11.

• Experience in maintaining or upgrading Drupal sites, including significant version upgrades.

• Solid understanding of Drupal APIs, configuration management, content modeling, permissions, editorial workflows, and integrations.

• Proven experience in developing and maintaining custom Drupal modules and themes.

• Proficiency with Git and collaborative source control practices.

• Familiarity with Composer and PHP dependency management.

• Experience working with LAMP/LEMP stacks: Linux, Apache/Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP.

• Good front-end development skills, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.

• Understanding of web performance, security, accessibility, and maintainability principles.

• Experience operating across development, staging, UAT, and production environments.
