This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead the comprehensive strategic planning and implementation of scientific publications across the AlloNK platform.
• Create and execute global and regional publication strategies (abstracts, posters, manuscripts, reviews) for audiences focused on rheumatology, immunology, and cell therapy.
• Work collaboratively with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and principal investigators to ensure the timely and accurate sharing of clinical trial findings at major scientific congresses.
• Guarantee that all publications are in full compliance with Good Publication Practice (GPP), ICMJE authorship guidelines, and corporate compliance standards.
• Supervise the writing, editing, and medical review of scientific publications and associated congress materials, ensuring scientific accuracy and a balanced presentation of data.
• Manage external medical communications agencies, medical writers, and vendor budgets to deliver high-quality outputs on schedule.
• Design the comprehensive pre- and post-congress communication strategy for major rheumatology and immunology events (e.g., ACR, EULAR, ISSJD, CCR), including congress playbooks and post-congress evaluations.
• Oversee the creation of congress-specific materials, such as scientific symposia, medical booth content, and interactive learning stations.
• Track emerging clinical data, shifts in treatment paradigms, and competitor activities at significant meetings, translating these insights into actionable communication strategies.
• An advanced scientific or clinical degree (e.g., PhD, PharmD, DO, or MD) is required.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in medical communications or publications within the biotech or pharmaceutical sectors.
• A proven history and profound understanding of rheumatology, immunology, and/or complex cell therapies (e.g., CAR-T, TCEs).
• Expert knowledge of ICMJE guidelines, GPP guidelines, and the Sunshine Act/EFPIA disclosure requirements.
• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams, establish a medical communications and publications function, mentor junior staff, and oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in using publication management software (e.g., Datavision) to monitor publication progress and manage author review processes.
• A robust network of relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in rheumatology, immunology, and cell therapy.
• Outstanding scientific storytelling skills and meticulous attention to detail.
