
Senior Director, Trucks – Off-Road

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the strategic direction and market acceleration for zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty trucks, along with commercial off-road equipment.
• Drive the strategy for initiatives, shape policy, develop and manage implementation programs, and foster partnerships.
• Oversee a diverse portfolio of programs, incentive projects, and research initiatives while leading and developing a high-performing team.
• Collaborate closely with Policy, Business Development, Regional Offices, Technology, and Member Services to ensure alignment and measurable advancement toward CALSTART's net-zero mission.
• Report directly to executive leadership.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, Environmental Studies, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in the medium- and heavy-duty vehicle and/or commercial off-road equipment sectors.
• Proven experience in managing clean transportation programs, including the deployment of zero-emission trucks and related infrastructure planning.
• A minimum of 7 years in program and project management overseeing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Over 5 years of experience in business development and partnership cultivation.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in team and staff management.
• Strong understanding of the policy, regulatory, and market factors affecting T&OR deployment on a national scale.
• Familiarity with advanced truck and off-road technologies, including battery-electric and hydrogen fuel cell systems.
• Experience collaborating with truck and off-road manufacturers, fleets, utilities, and public agencies.
