This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +8 more states.
β’ The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is tasked with identifying, nurturing, and managing relationships with key healthcare professional (HCP) partners and influential figures in Hematology/Oncology through strategic collaborations and marketing efforts.
β’ Primary responsibilities include researching potential Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in both academic and community environments, crafting engagement strategies, negotiating partnership terms, monitoring campaign performance, and maintaining regular communication with key influencers.
β’ Contribute to the creation of engagement strategies for the designated region and execute them to maximize outcomes. Research and identify relevant KOLs within the target market based on their audience reach, credibility, and alignment with brand values.
β’ Conduct comprehensive evaluations to ensure KOL suitability for partnerships. Initiate contact with potential KOLs and present partnership opportunities.
β’ Build strong, authentic relationships with KOLs through consistent communication and engagement. Understand KOLs' specific needs, interests, and audience demographics to customize collaboration strategies.
β’ Provide KOLs with essential information, demo samples, or materials to support effective content evaluation and/or creation.
β’ Collaborate with Sales to strengthen HCP relationships with PharmaEssentia.
β’ Lead and coordinate insight gathering among opinion leaders through one-on-one engagements, small group meetings, national and regional advisory boards, and steering committees to collect actionable information, in conjunction with other functions.
β’ Monitor the competitive landscape, treatment protocols, and other market trends, reporting findings to marketing, offering actionable recommendations, and executing tactical initiatives.
β’ Support and manage commercial advisory boards and steering committees.
β’ Develop targeted peer-to-peer (P2P) marketing materials and messaging that align with brand objectives.
β’ Review P2P content to ensure compliance with brand guidelines and messaging.
β’ Contribute to the development and training of the Speaker Bureau.
β’ Lead KOL engagement at major congress events. Manage KOLs for both internal meetings and external functions.
β’ Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reach, engagement, conversions, and brand mentions across P2P campaigns. Monitor campaign progress and make adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes. Analyze campaign data to identify successes and areas for improvement, generating comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
β’ A BS/BA or equivalent degree is required, preferably in Marketing, Science, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing is required.
β’ Experience in Hematology/Oncology is essential.
β’ Strong scientific and business acumen, with the capability to leverage industry knowledge and market insights to identify long-term benefits for our customers.
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish relationships with KOLs.
β’ Analytical skills to assess campaign performance and discern trends.
β’ Creative thinking skills to develop captivating P2P collaboration concepts.
β’ Knowledge of industry trends and target audience demographics.
β’ A team player who is also capable of working independently.
β’ Ability to lead through influence and make an impact across teams.
β’ Self-starter with the initiative to operate independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.
β’ Strong strategic and tactical planning, project management, communication, and organizational skills.
β’ Understanding of compliance requirements in pharmaceutical promotions.
β’ Willingness to travel 50-70% of the time, including occasional evenings and weekends. The candidate must reside near a major airport.
