Senior Director, Transportation Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct a large-scale regional transportation network.

• Supervise vendor performance, service delivery, routing operations, and overall network optimization within a high-volume area.

• Ensure the transportation network is of high quality, compliant, and cost-effective.

• Develop and lead a high-performing team of routers and network managers.

• Spearhead provider recruitment and onboarding to establish a robust network of transportation vendors.

• Drive procurement and contracting efforts to secure competitive rates and advantageous terms with transportation providers.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with NEMT providers and key partners.

• Analyze and report on market trends, including actions from suppliers, clients, competitors, and regulators.

• Assist in the credentialing and compliance processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in managing networks with an annual spend exceeding $250M.

• Proficient in network vendor management, vendor operations, or transportation/logistics (experience in last mile, healthcare logistics, TNC, or NEMT is preferred).

• Demonstrated success in building long-term supplier relationships and managing distributed vendor networks across various regions.

• Strong expertise in contracting, negotiations, and cost management.

• Proven track record of utilizing dynamic pricing tools and meeting price targets.

• Experienced in employing a tech-driven delivery model.

• Background in highly regulated environments (healthcare, transportation, or similar sectors).

• Proven ability to enhance operational performance and drive continuous improvement through data and KPIs.

• Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
