This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Develop innovative, thought-provoking, and essential “must-have insights” content.
• Generate new insights and concepts through thought leadership, offering compelling and actionable strategies to meet client needs and requests, thereby enhancing their capacity to act.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses to uncover the root causes of client barriers or overall requirements and reshape thinking to advance strategy.
• Exhibit thought leadership by establishing Insights positions among a team of analysts.
• Provide independent, provocative insights to Gartner leaders that can influence the direction of research agendas.
• Research, analyze, and forecast market trends and shifts to deliver actionable insights to both clients and vendors.
• Offer clients and prospects actionable guidance aligned with their specific content area through virtual or in-person interactions.
• Create and present high-value materials for Gartner events, industry, and professional association conferences, as well as client briefings.
• Support sales efforts by voicing market perspectives to assist Insights teams in content creation and fostering client engagement to advance their critical priorities for business growth.
• Build credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner's insights, methodologies, and strategies.
• Actively engage in innovation, ideation, and research discussions while collaborating effectively with peers within the Insights community.
• Identify enhancements to the research process or develop new methodologies to ensure excellent service delivery from the team and BTI.
• Serve as a mentor and coach by supporting junior team members.
• Maintain a client-centric approach, actively encouraging clients to engage frequently with Gartner insights and interactions.
• Act as a recognized authority on Technology Cost and Value Management, assisting CIOs in establishing effective technology budgeting, investment governance, cost transparency, and value realization across the enterprise.
• Formulate and articulate strong positions on emerging and best practices in IT Financial Management, cloud and AI economics, and technology investment optimization to enable superior business outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.
• Over 12 years of relevant field or industry experience.
• More than 12 years of experience in technology finance, IT Financial Management (ITFM), Technology Business Management (TBM), FinOps, technology strategy, or similar leadership positions.
• Experience in supporting CIOs, technology leaders, or IT departments in budgeting, investment governance, cost transparency, and technology value management.
• Proven expertise in contemporary technology cost structures, including infrastructure, applications, platforms, cloud, AI, and product-based delivery models.
• Experience implementing ITFM, TBM, FinOps, or similar practices to enhance technology investment decision-making and business results.
• Familiarity with or advising organizations on leading ITFM, TBM, or FinOps platforms and the relevant vendor landscape.
