Senior Director, Product Management – AI Inferencing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Oversee the product team responsible for managing Akamai's AI infrastructure and inference projects, encompassing GPU clusters and scalable model deployment.

• Propel the long-term vision and strategy for AI infrastructure.

• Discover opportunities for differentiation, shape positioning, and establish investment priorities.

• Take ownership of business outcomes within the GPU and cloud inferencing portfolio, focusing on revenue growth, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

• Collaborate with go-to-market leadership on pricing, packaging, and segment strategies.

• Serve as Akamai's representative to customers, partners, and analysts.

• Lead cross-functional efforts across product management, engineering, and site reliability engineering (SRE).

• Enhance Akamai's AI platform by delivering GPU infrastructure and serverless inference innovations, from concept to large-scale implementation.

• Build and manage a high-performing team of product leaders.

• Foster accountability, execution discipline, and a culture centered on customer obsession.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12 years of pertinent experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in AI infrastructure, including GPU systems, model deployment, serverless inference, and technologies that support scalable AI workloads.

• Direct experience in developing and launching commercial AI infrastructure or inference platforms, from product definition through launch, adoption, and monetization.

• Experience in creating foundational platforms and services that enable developers to deploy and manage AI workloads.

• Proven success in building and scaling product management organizations while establishing effective operating rhythms.

• Strong executive presence and exceptional communication abilities.

• Capability to effectively represent the company to customers, partners, and analysts.
