• Enhance and advance Juniper Square's procurement strategy with a focus on AI, pinpointing areas where automation, smart tools, and agentic workflows can drive scalability and operational excellence.
• Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing procurement team, exemplifying continuous learning and integrating AI fluency as a fundamental capability of the team.
• Act as a trusted consultant to the executive team, influencing vendor strategy and ensuring procurement initiatives are in line with organizational priorities and our overarching AI transformation roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Security, and Business Operations to guarantee that procurement activities align with budgetary, compliance, and risk management objectives.
• Advocate for the adoption of AI-driven processes across the organization — educating stakeholders, facilitating change management, and ensuring adherence to policies as new workflows are implemented.
• Oversee all strategic sourcing activities, which include supplier selection, RFPs, contract negotiations, and vendor performance management.
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and visibility across all vendor agreements — utilizing AI tools to decrease cycle time and enhance data integrity.
• Supervise vendor performance management, including KPIs, SLAs, and renewal assessments, to ensure optimal pricing, service levels, and long-term value.
• Proactively handle renewals and vendor relationships to sustain a competitive edge and ensure operational continuity.
• Discover and implement substantial cost savings across software, services, and operations while maintaining quality and minimizing risk.
• Direct the design and execution of AI-powered procurement workflows — ranging from contract review and expenditure analysis to vendor risk assessment and renewal forecasting.
• Assess, pilot, and scale AI tools (including agentic platforms such as Claude) that lessen manual tasks and boost procurement team efficiency without compromising rigor.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports that monitor procurement KPIs, performance metrics, and cost savings outcomes — increasingly driven by automated data pipelines and AI-assisted analysis.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, where identifying automation opportunities is a standard expectation for every team member.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of procurement and sourcing experience, preferably within a SaaS or technology organization, including at least 2–5 years at the Director level.
• Proven experience in leading AI-driven process transformations within procurement or operations functions — not merely tool adoption, but measurable workflow redesign and efficiency improvements.
• Strong negotiation abilities and a demonstrated history of achieving cost reductions and process enhancements.
• Comprehensive understanding of procurement best practices, contract management, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Practical experience with AI-powered tools and agentic platforms; willingness to experiment with and implement new tools, including platforms like Claude, is highly advantageous.
• Proven capability to establish a brand for procurement within an organization and effectuate change through influence, communication, and stakeholder alignment.
• Outstanding relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with executive teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adjust to shifting priorities.
• Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized; capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Experience in implementing or scaling procurement tools (e.g., CLM, spend management, AI workflow automation platforms) is strongly preferred.
