
Senior Director, Network Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Design and establish the foundational specifications for the global network telemetry ecosystem while taking full ownership of the intelligence framework.
β’ Oversee the global DDoS detection framework and the corresponding mitigation policies.
β’ Create mechanisms for threat detection and infrastructure aimed at countering hackers, reducing network security risks, and improving overall trust and safety on the platform.
β’ Develop comprehensive data reporting structures to offer in-depth visibility into network performance, security incidents, and operational well-being.
β’ Establish detection and reporting capabilities focused on safeguarding IP and network reputation.
β’ Spearhead capacity management and network monetization projects.
β’ Partner with engineering and finance teams to design and operationalize a thorough, telemetry-driven billing system for accurate usage tracking.
β’ Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing engineering team dedicated to network security, data pipelines, and infrastructure intelligence.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in large-scale network engineering, network security, or data infrastructure roles within a global cloud or service provider environment.
β’ Extensive technical knowledge of network telemetry protocols, flow analysis (such as NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX), and real-time processing of vast data pipelines.
β’ Proven track record of architecting and managing large-scale DDoS defense architectures, including the development of detection algorithms, defensive policy frameworks, and real-time incident response workflows.
β’ Demonstrated ability to apply unsupervised machine learning models and statistical methods to extensive network datasets for automated anomaly detection, demand forecasting, and behavioral modeling.
β’ Practical experience in deploying distributed stream processing engines, like Flink or Spark Streaming, to facilitate low-latency analytics across high-throughput global telemetry streams.
β’ Significant experience in managing capacity lifecycle and implementing data-centric governance for optimizing global-scale infrastructure.
β’ Proven proficiency in architecting data lakes and designing real-time enrichment pipelines, with a strong focus on data governance that includes PII management, access protocols, and compliance-driven retention frameworks for high-volume network telemetry.
β’ Solid background in software engineering or scripting related to network automation and big data systems.
β’ Demonstrated leadership experience in managing senior technical teams and translating complex data insights into actionable business results.
