This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Delivering enterprise-level strategic, operational, and medical leadership for the Medical Affairs organization within the CSL responsible cluster.
• Assisting in the development and execution of medical affairs strategies that align with the Global Medical Affairs Strategy, International Brand Plans, and APAC Business Strategy.
• Leading and overseeing the medical affairs team while offering guidance and mentorship.
• Contributing to global strategies for interactions with the medical community, which includes key opinion leaders and patient advocacy groups.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with all relevant interfacing functions, including marketing, market access, and R&D.
• Partnering with the Evidence Generation team to design and develop post-marketing studies.
• Ensuring compliance of all activities with relevant regulations, industry codes, guidelines, SOPs, and ethical standards.
• Acting as a key medical expert and spokesperson at scientific conferences and other engagements.
• Maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Monitoring and analyzing industry trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging scientific data.
• MD (preferred) or an advanced scientific degree (PhD, PharmD) with 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotherapeutics industry.
• A minimum of 12 years in the pharmaceutical/biotherapeutics sector, ideally within a relevant medical sub-specialty.
• Clinical experience, preferably in a specialty area relevant to CSL’s therapeutic products.
• At least 8 years of Executive Medical Affairs Leadership experience.
• Proven leadership capabilities in management, preferably within a global organization.
• Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience in building and leading matrixed teams in a global context.
• Robust capabilities in clinical research, evidence generation, and scientific engagement, along with a proven track record as an influential leader who fosters relationships across various stakeholder types.
• Executive presence with the ability to communicate complex data convincingly and relate study results and knowledge of the therapeutic area to industry-specific applications.
• Strong working knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas and products.
• Business-fluent English.
• Willingness to travel overnight, up to 50% of the time.
