This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• The Senior Director of Information and Cybersecurity acts as the top cybersecurity executive within the internal IT organization, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
• This position is tasked with defining and implementing the enterprise cybersecurity strategy in close collaboration with IT and digital transformation goals.
• The role ensures that security measures are thoroughly integrated into the infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms, and end-user environments.
• This leader collaborates with the CIO to balance risk management, innovation, and operational efficiency, incorporating security-by-design principles into all IT initiatives.
• Actively engage in the RFP development and evaluation process, ensuring that security requirements are clearly articulated, integrated, and aligned with organizational risk standards.
• The leader supervises global security operations, architecture, risk management, and compliance.
• Additionally, this role promotes enterprise-wide security governance, cultivates a robust security culture, and offers strategic advice to senior leadership on cyber risks, investments, and resilience.
• 10–15+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, information security, or IT risk management.
• 7–10+ years in leadership positions responsible for building and managing global security teams.
• Proven experience collaborating closely with the CIO and IT leadership to embed security within the enterprise IT strategy and operations.
• Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide security programs across infrastructure, cloud, applications, and end-user environments.
• Extensive experience in cyber risk management, security operations, incident response, and architecture.
• Hands-on experience in implementing and scaling frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, and Zero Trust.
• Experience overseeing global security operations (SOC) and managing responses to significant security incidents or breaches.
• Strong expertise in regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOX, CCPA, and other industry-specific regulations).
• Proven capability to lead digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience in managing third-party/vendor risk within a global enterprise context.
• A track record of managing substantial budgets and optimizing security investments.
• Experience working in a matrixed, global organization with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• Ability to travel, sit, and manage a high volume of phone and email communications.
• Requires travel 20-25% of the time.
