This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +12 more states.
• Act as the primary Finance partner for Operations and Manufacturing within IDT and Aldevron.
• Link operational execution to financial results, enterprise value, and strategic decision-making.
• Develop and oversee financial operating mechanisms addressing cost, capacity, quality, delivery, inventory, working capital, and profitability.
• Create and enhance frameworks for product costing, standard costing, cost accounting, manufacturing variance, COGS, absorption costing, inventory valuation, BOM/routing cost, and profitability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Commercial, R&D, and Corporate Finance.
• Facilitate capital deployment, capacity expansion, manufacturing network planning, automation, ERP implementation, and investment decisions through financial analysis and business cases.
• Enhance forecast accuracy, governance of operational KPIs, executive reporting, and business review processes.
• Guide Finance through transformation, integration, organizational redesign, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Build, mentor, and cultivate an Operations Finance team along with Finance Business Partner capabilities across IDT and Aldevron.
• Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 15 years of progressive Finance leadership experience in support of manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or technical operations.
• More than 5 years of experience leading leaders or senior teams.
• Experience in multi-site operational finance within biotech, pharmaceutical, CDMO, medical device, life sciences, or similar regulated manufacturing settings.
• Proficiency in product costing, standard costing, cost accounting, COGS management, manufacturing variance analysis, absorption costing, inventory valuation, and profitability analysis.
• Knowledge of P&L management, manufacturing cost structures, inventory optimization, capital deployment, capacity investment decisions, forecasting, and S&OP processes.
• Familiarity with complex product portfolios, capacity constraints, major capital investment needs, and transformation or integration agendas.
• Experience with ERP systems, enterprise reporting, executive KPI dashboards, and advanced financial modeling.
• Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally, up to 25%.
• MBA or CPA is preferred.
• Experience in gene reading and writing segments, including knowledge of CDMO business models, is a plus.
• Understanding of the Danaher Business System (DBS) and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
