Senior Director, Finance – ITG

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the multi-year Finance IT technology strategy and roadmap.

• Act as the primary technology partner for Finance leadership across Controllership, FP&A, Accounting, Treasury, and Procurement.

• Lead the rationalization, consolidation, modernization of platforms, and initiatives involving emerging AI/ML, automation, and cloud technology.

• Oversee the complete delivery of Finance technology implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.

• Drive Agile and hybrid project execution, portfolio prioritization, governance, and reporting.

• Ensure availability, performance, reliability, SLA management, incident response, and root cause resolution for Finance platforms.

• Manage technology capabilities across R2R, S2P, Asset Accounting, Payroll, O2C, Budget & Forecasting, Reporting, and Analytics.

• Spearhead finance transformation, close automation, intelligent procurement, Workday Accounting Center adoption, and development of the Generative AI/Copilot roadmap.

• Maintain intelligence on platform utilization, application and SKU rationalization, license reviews, vendor-roadmap analysis, and technology radar activities.

• Lead and develop a global Finance IT team while managing vendors, system integrators, and platform partners.

• Take ownership of the Legal and Compliance systems strategy, including Ironclad CLM, compliance management, legal matters, and entity platforms.

• Lead system adoption, role-based training, change impact assessments, communications, and adoption KPIs.

• Own the Finance IT testing strategy encompassing unit, integration, regression, UAT, and parallel-run testing.

• Oversee Finance IT General Controls, SOX compliance, access controls, segregation of duties, audit support, and continuous controls monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of progressive technology leadership experience.

• At least 5 years in a Finance IT or ERP leadership role.

• In-depth expertise in Workday Financials, including Workday Accounting Center implementation and post-production operations.

• Proven experience leading complex, multi-workstream Finance technology programs within a global enterprise.

• Strong domain knowledge in R2R, S2P, AP, O2C, Asset Accounting, Payroll, and FP&A.

• Familiarity with financial close platforms and planning/budgeting tools.

• A successful track record in leading and developing diverse, distributed global technology teams.

• Ability to strategically partner with Finance executives while ensuring delivery accountability.

• Comprehensive understanding of SOX controls, financial compliance, and technology audit requirements.

• Acumen in Finance technology including platform utilization, application rationalization, roadmapping, vendor strategy, and AI capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.

• Preferred Workday Finance certifications or implementation credentials.

• Preferred experience with Lucernex or equivalent lease accounting platforms.

• Preferred hands-on experience with Ironclad CLM or similar CLM platforms, as well as Salesforce/Finance integrations.

• Preferred experience in supporting Legal Operations or Compliance technology functions.

• Preferred exposure to AI/ML finance automation use cases.

• MBA or an advanced related degree is preferred.

• Preferred experience in SaaS, high-growth technology, or supply chain software.

• Familiarity with Agentforce, Microsoft Copilot, or Workday AI is preferred.
