Senior Director, Facility Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Accountable for directing the planning, design, and execution of facility projects throughout the US Foods Supply Chain network.

• Guarantees that designs adhere to operational, safety, regulatory, and sustainability standards while fostering the company’s expansion.

• Guides, mentors, and nurtures Design Project Managers, establishing clear expectations and performance goals.

• Enhances organizational capabilities in Facility Design development and implementation.

• Works in collaboration with Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Facilities teams to ensure designs fulfill functional and operational needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in facility design.

• Proven experience leading large, intricate, multi-site capital programs.

• Background in industrial facility design and architectural planning.

• Experience in site development, permitting, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Proficiency in capital budgeting and cost engineering.

• Expertise in lean facility design and continuous improvement practices.

• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, construction standards, and operational design necessities.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, compliant, and innovative design solutions.

• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external consultants.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
