Senior Director, Development – Data Center Construction

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the customer deployment project execution for each sold agreement at every QTS location.

• Collaborate with the QTS Property Development team and relevant specialty consultants to meet customer design requirements, pricing, approvals, and implementation of specific deployment scopes.

• Manage the execution of these projects by aligning clients’ goals, business processes, vendor management strategies, and interdepartmental collaboration efforts across the QTS organization.

• Foster effective client relationship management and efficient cost control, aiming to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

• Act as the primary contact for Federal sales support regarding potential secured deals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or relevant professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture.

• A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in the development of Mission Critical Facilities.

• At least five years of experience in data center project construction involving large-scale data centers or DC lease providers.

• Must be available on-site in West Texas 100% of the time.

• Proven experience managing multiple large and complex projects.

• Knowledge of Construction Health & Safety practices.

• Familiarity with Customer Deployment Technologies and Equipment; RCDD certification is a plus.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to independently meet deadlines and support team members.

• Capability to influence cross-disciplinary teams.
