• Take ownership of Engine's Operating Cadence: Develop and manage the company-wide planning cycles (MBRs, QBRs, annual planning) to ensure business alignment. Shift reporting to asynchronous models so that leadership meetings can concentrate solely on discussions and decisions.
• Drive Strategic Planning & Resource Allocation: Collaborate with Finance, People, and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to convert company strategy into financial models, headcount strategies, and well-defined enterprise objectives.
• Lead High-Stakes Execution: Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for cross-functional "big bets," ensuring that appropriate resources are allocated to tackle our most challenging issues, from the initial business case to delivery.
• Provide Executive Visibility & Analytics: Enhance objective visibility into the health of initiatives. Create dashboards, telemetry, and reporting mechanisms that offer the ELT a real-time perspective on the business.
• Serve as an Operating Partner to the ELT: Integrate complex data from product, sales, and operations to pinpoint misalignments, remove bottlenecks, and facilitate swift, informed executive decision-making.
• Build the Centralized Operations Function: Develop a high-performing team of Program Managers and Business Operators, dynamically assigning them to areas where the organization's friction points are most significant.
• Embed AI-Driven Efficiency: Advocate for an AI-first operational approach. Automate the operating cadence and data collection wherever feasible, ensuring the business achieves operational leverage as it expands.
• 12+ years of experience in business operations, corporate strategy, program management, or Chief of Staff roles—demonstrating a successful leadership track record in a high-growth tech or SaaS environment.
• A Strategic Operator, Not a Process Imposer: You focus on the business's future direction, challenge assumptions with data, and create minimal structures that promote agility. You know how to drive operational discipline without resorting to cumbersome, rigid planning or dogmatic OKR frameworks.
• Mastery of Scale: You have led an annual planning process and cross-functional prioritization rhythm in a company undergoing rapid organizational growth.
• Thrives in High-Performance, Low-Consensus Environments: You excel in a straightforward, direct, and high-expectation culture. You actively embrace radical transparency, prioritize candidness over comfort, and value making the right decision over achieving consensus.
• Persuasion Through Conviction: Possess exceptional executive presence. You can distill complex information into clear narratives, engage constructively in debate with the ELT, and build trust through rigorous logic rather than merely through process design.
• People Leader & Coach: Experienced in hiring, organizing, and cultivating high-performing, adaptable teams of operators.
• Extreme Comfort with Ambiguity: You excel when priorities, structures, and systems are in flux, creating order from chaos without hindering team progress.
• Compensation: Competitive base salary aligned with the role and experience, along with opportunities for bonuses, commissions, and equity.
