Senior Director, Business Development – Provider Acute

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive revenue growth for Strategic Partners by leading the Strategic Partner sales team; formulate and implement effective sales initiatives aligned with Inovalon’s annual and long-term objectives;

• Exhibit ownership, accountability, and leadership;

• Oversee the daily operations of assigned associates; ensure they have access to and effectively utilize the tools, processes, resources, and information necessary to market products and services to the appropriate market segments;

• Propel activities to consistently meet assigned quotas through the sale of products to existing customers and potential clients;

• Create and maintain accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts. Collaborate with leadership to identify potential risks to specific deals and implement mitigation strategies in real-time;

• Apply consultative sales techniques to ensure the consistent use of best practices at each stage of the sales process. Train the team on these practices to guarantee the effective use of techniques and tools as standards;

• Build and sustain an in-depth understanding of the strategic partner product suite, services, and marketing strategies, ensuring focus on and maximization of high-return activities;

• Work with leadership to evaluate team performance; engage in the development and implementation of team and individual improvement strategies and key developmental initiatives;

• Foster interdepartmental collaboration to meet business objectives;

• Enhance utilization and adherence to documentation in SalesForce (CRM) software, including prospecting, contact management, accurate opportunity tracking, milestone interactions, customer communications, sales pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting;

• Ensure compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures, and mission statement;

• Abide by all confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines as outlined in Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures concerning any data handled or services provided during the role;

• Carry out responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably assigned by Inovalon to achieve the operational and financial success of the Employer;

• Execute additional duties as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant sales and/or channel development experience, including at least 8 years in leadership or management roles;

• Experience selling to key executive-buyer personas for transactional healthcare RCM services;

• A proven history of achieving or surpassing targets in selling SaaS or similar subscription-based applications;

• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment;

• Exceptional negotiation, leadership, management, and presentation skills;

• Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail;

• Proficiency in strategic selling principles and tools;

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
