Senior Director, Analyst – Managed IT Security Services, Sourcing Focus

📋 Description

• Develop innovative and thought-provoking content that delivers essential insights.

• Generate new ideas and insights through thought leadership, providing compelling and actionable strategies that enhance the client's ability to act.

• Conduct thorough analyses to pinpoint the root causes of a client’s challenges or requirements, reframing perspectives to advance strategic initiatives.

• Exhibit thought leadership by establishing Insight positions within a team of analysts.

• Provide bold, independent insights to Gartner leaders that can influence the direction of research agendas.

• Research, analyze, and forecast market trends and shifts to deliver actionable insights to both clients and vendors.

• Offer actionable recommendations aligned with clients’ designated content areas through virtual or in-person engagements.

• Create and present high-value materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings, both on and off stage.

• Support BTI and Sales by acting as the market voice to assist Insights teams in content creation and drive client engagement to address critical business priorities.

• Ensure timely and high-quality peer reviews of content.

• Establish credibility as an industry expert representing Gartner’s insights, methodologies, and strategies.

• Engage actively in innovation, ideation, and research discussions, collaborating effectively with peers within the Insights community.

• Identify enhancements to research processes or create new procedures that enable the team and BTI to deliver exceptional service.

• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their development.

• Maintain a client-centric approach while encouraging frequent client engagement with Gartner insights and interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.

• Over 15 years of relevant experience in the field or industry.

• Possess an executive presence; able to quickly establish credibility with executives and other stakeholders.

• Strong organizational abilities; capable of meeting tight deadlines while producing high-quality deliverables.

• Exhibit excellence in research and writing skills.

• Proficient in written and verbal communication, analytical and presentation abilities; capable of engaging with clients and addressing their inquiries effectively.

• Skilled in analyzing and synthesizing data; adept at applying patterns and frameworks while formulating and defending conclusions related to client challenges.

• Demonstrated subject matter expertise; comfortable presenting at both large and small-scale speaking engagements.

• Strong business and financial understanding.

• Extensive knowledge of the global competitive landscape in the subject area and the dynamics within that market.

• Ability to work independently while being intrinsically motivated to collaborate across teams and support the workflows of others in a multicultural global environment.

• Capable of effectively representing Gartner's research methodologies and strategies at all organizational levels.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
