Senior Director Analyst – AI and Emerging Technologies Enterprise Strategy

• Generate innovative and thought-provoking content that delivers essential insights.

• Cultivate insights and ideas leveraging thought leadership and subject matter expertise.

• Provide compelling and actionable strategies addressing clients’ critical priorities.

• Analyze client challenges and requirements, identify root causes, and reshape perspectives to enhance strategy.

• Establish viewpoints across a team of analysts and present independent insights to Gartner leaders.

• Research, analyze, and forecast market trends and changes to guide technology strategy.

• Deliver actionable recommendations to clients and prospects through virtual or in-person engagements.

• Design and present materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings.

• Offer sales support and act as the market's representative voice.

• Assist Insights teams in content creation and fostering client engagement.

• Conduct timely and high-quality peer reviews of content.

• Represent Gartner insights, methodologies, and strategies as an industry expert.

• Engage in innovation, ideation, and research discussions.

• Collaborate with peers within the Insights community and across different teams.

• Identify opportunities for research process enhancements and develop new service delivery methods.

• Mentor and guide junior team members.

• Facilitate regular client engagement with Gartner insights and interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; a graduate degree is preferred.

• 12+ years of relevant experience in the field or industry.

• Direct, hands-on leadership experience in enterprise-wide AI implementation projects across IT and business functions, including scaling from pilot programs to production.

• Experience advising C-Suite executives and senior business leaders on technology strategy and business process redesign in AI and emerging technologies.

• Strong technical knowledge of emerging technologies, including agentic AI.

• Ability to assess emerging market signals and balance risks and opportunities in technology investments.

• Executive presence and capability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to perform under tight deadlines.

• Exceptional research and writing skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and presentation abilities.

• Capacity to engage clients and respond to inquiries effectively.

• Proficient in data analysis and synthesis, applying patterns and frameworks.

• Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

• Subject matter expertise and comfort in presenting at both large and small speaking engagements.

• Strong business and financial acumen.

• In-depth knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a multicultural global environment.

• Learning agility and capability to navigate highly matrixed environments.

• Ability to effectively represent Gartner’s research methodologies and strategies at all levels.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%, where applicable.
