Senior Director, AI Platform Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the development of the internal platform responsible for identity management, rate limiting, data classification enforcement, audit logging, and model access control.

• Manage the agent marketplace, including the registry, trust framework, and contribution model that transforms each team's AI automation into a collective organizational asset.

• Construct the pipeline-level AI layer, evaluating where governed AI integrations within CI/CD can provide the greatest impact.

• Take ownership of the knowledge graph and retrieval architecture.

• Assess designs, facilitate implementation, and establish grounding and governance standards for the team of developers you will lead.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in technology positions.

• More than 3 years in senior leadership roles.

• Proven history of building and managing production AI systems at an enterprise level, including RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, LLM API integration, and governance infrastructure.

• Proficient understanding of the software development lifecycle and insights on how AI reshapes it.

• Hands-on knowledge of MCP protocol and agentic orchestration, encompassing MCP server development, multi-agent coordination, and grounding standards.

• Experience in designing platforms for developers with scalable contribution and governance models, such as inner-source programs and agent or capability marketplaces.

• Demonstrated leadership in setting technical direction, reviewing architecture, and maintaining close involvement in implementation while leading a lean team and influencing thousands of developers without causing bottlenecks.
