This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Supervise the impact of AI model outputs on the quality of content generated by Dataminr’s AI platform.
• Collaborate with product managers and business teams to establish performance criteria for Deep Learning and Machine Learning models.
• Partner with scientists, engineers, and product managers to implement cutting-edge AI solutions at scale.
• Define and monitor metrics related to model quality, costs, and overall business performance.
• Hands-on modification of model workflows, evaluations, and outputs.
• Lead engineers and scientists, guiding changes in technical approaches.
• Emphasize context and end-user impact to provide practical, high-impact solutions.
• A graduate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of industry experience as a software engineer within a cloud-native environment.
• Proficiency in AWS and Kubernetes.
• At least 5 years of experience in leading software engineers on an AI team.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks, LLMs, agent harnesses, and compound AI systems.
• Experience with PyTorch, Langfuse, LangGraph, Weaviate, and A2A.
• Practical experience in developing and deploying Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and LLM systems at scale in NLP, CV, IR, or a related field, ideally in a real-time context.
• Proven history of driving and completing multiple complex AI projects.
