Senior Director – AI Delivery, Operations

📋 Description

• Developing, managing, and enhancing CRG Digital’s comprehensive AI engineering and platform capabilities.

• Responsible for the delivery of AI engineering, platform architecture, and the integrated automation framework—ensuring AI solutions are production-ready, scalable, and effectively integrated into business operations.

• Merging solution delivery and platform enablement into a unified, high-performance system.

• Defining and expanding reusable AI architecture patterns, services, and components that facilitate rapid development of AI-enabled functionalities across various domains.

• Creating a modern AI-native execution layer, where AI-driven decision-making, services, and workflows are operationalized through APIs, orchestration frameworks, and automation capabilities.

• Establishing a target operating model that significantly enhances individual engineers' capabilities through AI tools.

• Collaborating with Solution Architecture to convert AI use cases into scalable technical solutions and ensuring designs are suitable for real-world workflow integration.

• Building and expanding a contemporary AI-native execution layer that translates AI-driven decisions into actionable outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred (in computer science, engineering, AI/ML, or a related field).

• 12 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or technology leadership roles, with a demonstrated history of building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations.

• Proven experience in defining and implementing scalable, reusable platform architectures and shared capability layers in complex enterprise settings.

• Experience in delivering AI/ML and/or GenAI-enabled systems in production, with knowledge of model lifecycle, integration patterns, and operational considerations.

• Established ability to advance engineering organizations toward modern, automation-first and AI-assisted development practices, fostering significant improvements in speed, quality, and efficiency.

• Record of driving substantial enhancements in engineering productivity and delivery models, including the adoption of AI-assisted or agent-based development methodologies.

• Experience operating within complex, matrixed organizations with cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Data, AI, and Business teams.

• Preferred experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, life sciences), with an understanding of compliance, security, and quality considerations in engineering systems.

• Strong systems thinking capability with the ability to design scalable, reusable architecture patterns instead of point solutions.

• In-depth technical and strategic understanding of AI engineering, platform architecture, and contemporary software systems, with the capacity to translate these into business and operational impacts.

• Strong leadership and organizational design skills, with experience building and scaling multidisciplinary engineering and platform teams.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities, with the capacity to influence across Product, Data, AI, Risk, and Business functions.
