Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Engage in discovery, migration design, automation, pilot migration, migration phases, cutover, validation, rollback, and stabilization tasks.

• Strategize and implement migrations for GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organizations.

• Transfer GitHub repositories, workflows, runners, permissions, environments, variables, and secrets.

• Assist in the migration and reconfiguration of GitHub Actions and related CI/CD systems.

• Migrate and verify GitHub Apps, webhooks, OAuth integrations, and OIDC setups.

• Create automation for migration tasks utilizing scripting and Infrastructure as Code.

• Provide support for AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS, Jenkins, and related platform integrations.

• Resolve migration issues and maintain platform stability during and post-migration.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure effective migration execution and validation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering.

• Significant recent experience with GitHub and CI/CD practices.

• Strong hands-on experience managing GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organizations at an enterprise level.

• Experience with large-scale GitHub repository and workflow migrations, including GitHub Actions, runners, and workflow reconfigurations.

• Familiarity with OIDC, GitHub Apps, webhooks, and OAuth integrations.

• Proficient in Terraform and infrastructure automation.

• Experience in designing and migrating CI/CD pipelines and platforms, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and AWS infrastructure.

• Scripting and automation expertise using Python, Bash, or similar technologies.

• Practical experience throughout the entire migration lifecycle.

• Experience in migration projects involving hundreds or thousands of repositories is a plus.

• Familiarity with GitOps and FluxCD is a plus.

• Experience with AWS CodeBuild is a plus.

• Knowledge of Git submodules and intricate repository dependencies is a plus.

• Experience with SSO/identity migration and related migration tools is a plus.
