Senior DevOps/Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Engage in discovery, migration design, automation, pilot migration, migration waves, cutover, validation, rollback, and stabilization activities.

• Strategize and implement migrations for GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organization.

• Transfer GitHub repositories, workflows, runners, permissions, environments, variables, and secrets.

• Assist with the migration and reconfiguration of GitHub Actions and related CI/CD systems.

• Migrate and verify GitHub Apps, webhooks, OAuth integrations, and OIDC configurations.

• Develop migration automation through scripting and Infrastructure as Code.

• Provide support for AWS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes/EKS, Jenkins, and related platform integrations.

• Diagnose migration issues and maintain platform stability during and after the migration process.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to guarantee effective migration execution and validation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering.

• Solid recent experience with GitHub and CI/CD processes.

• Extensive hands-on experience managing GitHub Enterprise and GitHub Organizations at an enterprise level.

• Familiarity with repositories, permissions, environments, variables, and secrets.

• Demonstrated experience in migrating enterprise-scale GitHub repositories and workflows.

• Proficiency with GitHub Actions, runners, and workflow reconfiguration.

• Knowledge of OIDC, GitHub Apps, webhooks, and OAuth integrations.

• Strong expertise in Terraform and infrastructure automation.

• Experience in designing and migrating CI/CD pipelines and platforms, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Proficient with Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and AWS infrastructure.

• Skills in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar technologies.

• Practical experience throughout the entire migration lifecycle.

• Background in migration projects involving hundreds or thousands of repositories.

• Experience with GitOps and FluxCD.

• Familiarity with AWS CodeBuild.

• Experience with Git submodules and complex repository dependencies.

• Knowledge in SSO/identity migration and migration tooling.
