
Senior DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes, GitOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Architect, manage, and enhance production-ready Kubernetes platforms.
• Develop and sustain Kubernetes workloads, manifests, Helm charts, Kustomize overlays, and deployment methodologies.
• Execute and maintain GitOps workflows utilizing Flux, Argo CD, or comparable tools.
• Refine CI/CD pipelines to ensure dependable, repeatable, and secure application delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose production challenges across Kubernetes, networking, compute, storage, and application layers.
• Create automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and incident management.
• Assist in cloud infrastructure operations across AWS, GCP, Windows, or hybrid environments.
• Oversee Kubernetes networking, ingress, service mesh, DNS, TLS, secrets, and workload identity configurations.
• Promote Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
• Work alongside security teams to enhance container, cluster, secrets, and supply-chain security.
• Guide engineers on Kubernetes, DevOps, GitOps, and best practices for production operations.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, including deployments, services, ingress, config maps, secrets, RBAC, network policies, probes, HPA, and storage.
• Significant GitOps experience with tools like Flux or Argo CD.
• Robust CI/CD background using platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, or similar.
• Proficiency with Helm and/or Kustomize.
• Strong skills in Linux systems, networking, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, including EKS, IAM, VPC, Route 53, ALB/NLB, S3, RDS, or CloudWatch.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code methodologies using Terraform or equivalent tools.
• Proficient scripting skills in Bash, Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, New Relic, Better Stack, or similar.
• Ability to resolve complex production issues spanning application, infrastructure, and networking layers.
• Excellent written communication skills, especially for creating runbooks, architecture documentation, and operational guides.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Service Mesh, Secrets Management, Platform Engineering, multi-region architectures, High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, Microservices and Distributed Systems, Incident Management and Postmortem practices, and SRE principles with SLO-focused operations.
