Senior DevOps Engineer, Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Oversee the management of the Azure infrastructure platform that hosts solutions including web API services, mobile applications, web applications, coding programs, and databases.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure applications are scalable, reliable, and secure.

• Contribute to the development of reusable automation scripts, libraries, services, and tools to enhance system and process efficiencies.

• Apply Agile principles and practices to promote iterative development, continuous improvement, zero downtime, and expedited time-to-market.

• Advocate for DevOps across various functional teams and disciplines through collaboration, tooling, and best practices.

• Manage, develop, and implement solutions to further promote the use of deployment and test automation technology throughout the organization.

• Mentor fellow DevOps engineers and work effectively with other teams and stakeholders.

• Provide hands-on and consultative support for customers, including resource provisioning, cloud environment modifications, performing upgrades, addressing daily customer issues, and participating in after-hours on-call support.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or a related field.

• Over 4 years of experience in developing enterprise or SaaS software products utilizing .NET.

• At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and general database architecture.

• Expertise in Microsoft Azure.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Full-stack development experience preferred, particularly with C# and .NET.

• Familiarity with PHP, SQL, Java, and LAM.

• Knowledge of static code analysis tools such as SonarQube and SonarCloud.

• Extensive experience with DevOps practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, application performance monitoring, and configuration management.

• Background in researching, designing, and implementing monitoring systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security for applications and infrastructure.

• Familiar with implementing zero-downtime deployment strategies using concepts like blue-green patterns, rollbacks, and feature flags.
